Groene Recovery Shake

Green Recovery Shake

For 1 large shake

Ingredients

  • 200 ml plant-based milk or water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 scoop Protein powder (e.g. vanilla or neutral)
  • 1 tsp Aligma Spirulina Powder
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond paste
  • A handful of spinach (optional)
  • Ice cubes as desired

Preparation

  1. Add the liquid
Pour 200 ml plant-based milk or water into the blender. This prevents the other ingredients from sticking to the bottom.
  2. Add banana
Peel the ripe banana and break it into pieces. Add to the blender.
  3. Add protein powder
Put 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or neutral) on top of the banana.
  4. Add spirulina
Add 1 teaspoon Aligma Spirulina Powder . This blends perfectly if it doesn’t stick directly to the blender wall, so placing it in the middle of the mix is ideal.
  5. Add nut butter
Add 1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond paste for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
  6. Add vegetables (optional)
If you want an extra green boost: add a handful of fresh spinach .
  7. Add ice cubes
Put ice cubes as desired into the blender. For a thick, cold shake: 4–6 ice cubes. For a thinner shake: 1–3.
  8. Blend
Blend everything on high speed for 30–45 seconds, until the shake is completely smooth and creamy.
Tip: If the shake is too thick, add a little extra water or plant-based milk.
  9. Serve
Pour the shake into a large glass or shaker and drink immediately for the best taste and nutritional value.
