From a young age, we pondered how we as traders could contribute to the preservation and improvement of our world and its beautiful nature. And to a more lasting future in general. It was clear to us that we would achieve this together. Soon we came across seaweed, which apparently can offer a solution to every problem humanity faces today. While it is also the most efficient crop that exists. A win-win situation. In terms of nourishment, we settled on Spirulina, with its powerful effect and complete nutritional profile. Packed full of proteins, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
After extensive studies and thorough research into sustainable uses of algae, it quickly became clear that we wanted to continue down this path to introduce the world to the versatility and power of microalgae. From this conviction, we sought the most suitable climate and optimal conditions to produce Spirulina of the highest achievable quality. That search has been successful. In Asia, we have made our vision a reality by establishing a production site where quality, sustainability, and innovation come together.

Aligma consists of two closely connected parts. The first part is Aligma Europe BV, based in the Netherlands. This organisation mainly focuses on the marketing and distribution of the produced products. Aligma Europe BV works exclusively with products based on microalgae and serves various sectors, including the food industry, food additives, dietary supplements for humans and animals, animal feed, health, beauty, and wellness. In addition, active work is being done on the development of applications such as plant growth enhancers and bioplastics. All our products are always organically grown and carefully processed.
The second part is Aligma Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore. This entity operates under the motto Capture and Convert and focuses on developing innovative solutions for some of the most urgent global challenges. A key focus here is using algae to capture CO2 from essential industrial processes. This CO2 is then fixed and converted through the natural process of photosynthesis, a process in which algae naturally excel. Currently, Aligma Pte. Ltd. actively collaborates with industries with high CO2 emissions to reduce emissions through this natural and sustainable approach.
