Blue Unicorn Latte (decaffeinated)

For 1 mug

Ingredients

  • 250 ml (unsweetened) plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp Aligma Blue Spirulina Powder
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup, agave syrup, or honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: frothed milk as topping

Preparation

  1. Heat the plant-based milk
    Pour 250 ml (unsweetened) plant-based milk into a small pan and heat over low to medium heat.
    Let it warm up but do not boil — this keeps the spirulina vibrant in color and preserves its nutritional value.
  2. Mix the spirulina
    Put 1 teaspoon Aligma Blue Spirulina Powder into a mug.
    Add 1–2 tablespoons of the warm milk and stir into a smooth paste without lumps.
    (This ensures a beautiful, even blue latte.)
  3. Sweeten and add vanilla
    Add 1–2 tsp maple syrup, agave syrup, or honey to the mug.
    Then add ½ tsp vanilla extract .
    Stir well again.
  4. Pour in the rest of the milk
    Now slowly pour the remaining warm milk into the mug while stirring continuously, so everything blends evenly.
  5. Optional topping
    If you want a creamy finish:
  6. Froth extra plant-based milk
  7. Spoon or pour this on top of the latte
  8. For a softer color gradient, you can mix a small pinch of spirulina into the foam
