Chlorella is a green single-celled freshwater algae that is carefully dried and finely ground into a pure, plant-based powder. For fish, it is best to process the chlorella into flakes:

• Mix the chlorella with a little water until smooth paste
• Spread the paste thinly on a baking sheet or baking paper
• Let dry completely at room temperature
• Break the dried layer into small flakes
• Feed the flakes directly into the aquarium

This way you have a pure, homemade food that is easy to dose and clouds the water less than loose powder.

Thanks to the fine powder form, chlorella mixes easily into both dry and wet food. Sprinkle the desired amount over the food and mix lightly. Do you give your animal dry food? Then add a small splash of water to prevent dust and help the chlorella adhere better. Always start with new users with a smaller amount, so your animal can gradually get used to the taste.
